Kingdom of Marionettes Act 2 online: loop, Truth and Prieston routes
Play Act 2 in this site's current browser game, internally versioned 2.0. The creator also released Act 2 for PC and Mac on 7 October 2026. Below, official platform facts are followed by a labelled player-tested map of the repeating day and its investigation exits.
Desktop, Android and translation status follow the creator's Act 2 announcement. The browser row describes this site's current embedded build. Platform listings can change after this page is updated.
Does the old ending guide apply to Act 2?
The published point list covers Act 1: the good and bad ending threshold, collar scene condition, and secret name trigger. Act 2 is a newer release. We do not have a creator-confirmed Act 2 ending chart, so this site does not label Act 1 point values as Act 2 solutions.
Choose the current PC or Mac file if your goal is Act 2. Confirm the platform and file name before downloading.
Read the content warnings before playing. The creator labels the game for adults and lists disturbing themes and effects.
If you only have an Android device or need Simplified Chinese, check for a future update to Act 2 rather than assuming the existing build includes it.
Save migration, exact Act 2 choice flags, and Act 2 ending counts are not specified in the creator's release announcement. Avoid treating community guesses as confirmed steps.
Act 2 not showing? Check the build first
Seeing an Act 1 scene alone does not identify which archive you launched. First make sure you are using a release that includes the new act. These checks follow the creator's platform announcement and current file listing; they are not claims about an undocumented in-game unlock condition.

Act 2 questions
Why do I still see Act 1 on Android?
The creator released Act 2 for PC and Mac first. The Android Act 2 update is scheduled for a later date, with no date specified in the 7 October announcement.
Is the Chinese translation available for Act 2?
The newly available Simplified Chinese translation covers Act 1 only. The creator says Act 2 translations will follow.
Can I use the Act 1 Crownus name for an Act 2 secret ending?
The Crownus instructions were published as an Act 1 ending guide. The Act 2 route research below describes different investigation triggers.
Is there an Act 2 route walkthrough here?
Yes. Below is a detailed map based on player-tested and code-checked research. Its route points are attributed to that independent study; the creator's announcement covers release availability.
Read the evidence labels before following a Day 2 route
Official release facts: Thepipi announced Act 2 on 7 October 2026 for PC and Mac. The announcement says the Android update will follow later and that Simplified Chinese currently covers Act 1 only. Player-tested route research: ADVaNCE VN and MysteryCorgi published a Day 2 guide on 10 October after playing, checking player feedback, and examining game code. Their guide describes a standard day, a repeating loop, a “Truth” route, and a Prieston route. The exact Day 2 point conditions below come from that independent study; the creator's public Act 2 announcement does not publish them. Interpretation: remarks about the story's themes are readings of the available evidence, not official hidden flags.
This page contains major Day 2 spoilers. If you want to discover the loop yourself, read the platform and first-start sections, then stop before the route map. The ten-photo gallery on the Act 1 page and the reference images below are real captures of the game, but the local repository currently has no confirmed Act 2 gameplay capture. The older pictures are labelled as Day 1 visual context so they cannot be mistaken for proof of a Day 2 scene.
Get the correct build before diagnosing a story problem
The official game listing currently shows the new PC and Mac archives at about 1.3 GB each, alongside an older Android APK of about 601 MB and older localized desktop packages. The Act 2 announcement explicitly limits the new act to PC and Mac at release. A page-wide platform badge that lists Android or Linux describes the project as a whole; it does not prove that the file for either platform includes Act 2. Read the individual file name and the current announcement before downloading. If an installed copy appears to stop after Day 1, identify the archive you launched before changing in-game choices.
A frequent Windows mistake is opening an older extracted folder after downloading a newer zip. A frequent platform mistake is expecting the Android APK to contain the new act because the page lists Android in its general metadata. Neither case is an Act 2 secret gate. Keep the folders clearly named, extract the current PC or Mac package, and launch that package. The creator has not published a save-migration guarantee in the cited Act 2 announcement, so keep the older folder until you have checked that the new release starts and that your progress behaves as you expect.
The game page still uses the word DEMO and marks the project in development. That label is compatible with Act 2 being playable. It indicates that the overall work continues, not that the October update was cancelled. Equally, a release date on an archive should not be treated as an in-game Day 2 timestamp. The announcement on 7 October is the direct evidence for the public release; the download list is the place to verify the actual platform-specific package available now.
Day 1 handoff: the first distinction to make
The independent Day 2 route study describes the Day 1 good ending as the path that continues to Day 2. It lists the Day 1 bad and secret endings separately. This is a useful expectation when a player asks why a particular ending does not continue into the new chapter. The creator's February post confirms the Day 1 point thresholds and secret name but does not itself explain the later continuation rule. Follow a regular good run with three or more points and avoid the Crownus name lock when your immediate aim is to see the normal Day 2 opening.
For a simple transition run, use the most generous Day 1 total: help the farmers (+2), refuse the land purchase (+1), find Jestyn's criticism funny (+2), and decline the chocolate (0). That makes five. The exact Day 1 arithmetic is official; the expectation that the good end proceeds into the new day is documented by the player-tested guide. If your current package still returns to a Day 1 menu or older ending presentation, compare the archive and platform first. Do not assume an undocumented Act 2 password is required.
Day 2 is also called the second day or chapter two by players. Those names refer to the same newly released section in the sources reviewed here. The published Day 1 point values are not a universal currency for the whole game. The independent Day 2 study describes separate secret and Prieston route points earned through investigation. An Act 1 collar-qualified score of four or five should not be described as an automatic Day 2 Truth unlock. Keep a Day 1 score note for the transition, then begin a separate Day 2 observation sheet.
A spoiler-light first pass through the new day
The player-tested route map begins Day 2 at a convenience store, includes a moment about silencing Jestyn and conversations with maid sisters, then offers visits to Knighter's and Wizzy's rooms. A first pass can explore the available dialogue without trying to force a hidden branch. The study's standard-route example says to visit either room first, use the dialogue options that interest you, ignore the King puppet's room, and finish the day. This is an example path through the standard route, not a claim that every optional conversation must be clicked in a fixed order.
Exploration has a different role here from the four-answer Day 1 roleplay. Day 2's reported hidden routes reward repeated inspection of particular places and asking about relationships and the King puppet. If you want to see the ordinary day once before learning the mystery, do not repeatedly push on the King room during your first pass. If you want to unlock the additional story quickly, use a save near the room-choice sequence and follow the later investigation checklists. This lets you compare a relaxed route with a deliberate secret-point route without overwriting the experience of either.
The convenience store and maid conversations are described as flexible in the independent route guide. It says those options can be explored or skipped on later loops. That does not prove they have zero influence on every line in the game; it means the cited route examples do not require a particular answer there to reach the reported endings. When writing a guide, the precise claim is more useful than an absolute one: no specific store or maid answer appears in that study's Truth or Prieston point list.
The route map in one view
The standard route is the new day without enough investigated secrets to reach a credit-ending branch in the player-tested study. It moves through the store, Jestyn, the maid sisters, and room visits, then ends in a repeat. The repeating loop is not simply 'Act 2 missing' when you are playing the current desktop build. Multiple player reports describe the day returning to its start, and the independent route guide treats this as a designed route with variation in Crownus's pre-day dialogue. If your screen repeats, compare the dialogue and visit the investigative locations before reinstalling the game.
The study calls one exit the “Truth” route. It says this branch needs at least five Crownus secret points from the King room, Wizzy's room, and Knighter's room. The final instruction is to ask Jestyn to leave you alone and continue through the Butley encounter. The same study calls another exit the Prieston route. It reports a separate threshold of at least three Prieston route points and a particular chain of relationship questions, with Wizzy visited before Knighter. These are independent guide labels and point findings, not names or numbers from the creator's October announcement.
Think of the route map as a set of observations to verify in your copy, not a mandate to exhaust all dialogue in one run. The two investigation branches overlap because both look toward the King and the other puppets, then diverge in the questions asked and how the Butley encounter resolves. A save before visiting the rooms is a practical comparison point. Make one run that follows the five-secret-point checklist and another that prioritizes the relationship chain. If you change many unrelated choices at once, a different scene may appear without telling you which condition mattered.
The loop: how to tell a repeated day from a failed install
The independent guide describes a repeating Day 2 route and says the pre-day Crownus dialogue has eight variations before it repeats. That is more specific than the creator's release announcement, so treat it as player-tested research. If you reach a scene where the day starts again, look for altered introductory words and changed investigative opportunities. A loop that follows a full Day 2 sequence on the new desktop build is a different problem from an Android copy that never contained the October update. The first is a story route described by players; the second is a version mismatch described by the creator.
The loop is useful for investigation because it permits another pass through room choices. The route study says the convenience-store and maid-sister sections can be skipped on repeat passes, while Knighter and Wizzy room options remain central to exploring variations. If you are lost, write down each loop's room order, whether you tried the King door, which hotspot you examined repeatedly, and whether you asked each puppet about the King and their relationships. Then change one missing element. Reinstalling the same correct desktop archive after a narrative loop is unlikely to explain why a secret question was never asked.
Some player comments on the creator's page also report a seeming return to an earlier morning after an intimate or date scene. Those are useful corroborating reports that a return can be intentional, but comments are not an official route specification. Do not promise that every repeated animation is intended; a crash, broken save, or old build still warrants a technical check. The practical distinction is sequence: a complete story scene followed by a changed Day 2 opening points toward the loop route, while failing to launch the newer chapter at all points toward the package or save you used.
Truth route: the five reported Crownus secret points
According to ADVaNCE VN and MysteryCorgi's code-checked guide, the Truth branch requires at least five Crownus secret points. One comes from trying to enter the King puppet's room repeatedly until that option disappears; their example specifies three interactions. In Wizzy's room, repeatedly examine the corner until the option is exhausted for a point, then ask about the King puppet for another. In Knighter's room, repeatedly examine the desk until exhausted for a point, then ask about the King puppet for another. These are five identified point opportunities, described here in original wording rather than copied dialogue.
The same route example asks the player to tell Jestyn not to follow, then continue through the Butley encounter. That answer is a branch instruction, separate from earning the five reported points at the doors and rooms. If you inspect only one corner once, you may see ordinary descriptive text and assume the scene is complete. The guide explicitly calls for repeated examination until the interface stops offering that inspection. If a route does not change, confirm that you exhausted all three reported hotspots and asked both King questions before looking for a hidden sixth point.
You can use the five-point list as a progress ledger: King-door attempts, Wizzy corner, Wizzy King question, Knighter desk, and Knighter King question. Mark each when you actually see the corresponding interaction, not merely when you arrive in the room. The numerical threshold is reported by the independent study and has not been published as a creator chart. If a later patch changes the dialogue or trigger, revisit the source and retest. The current page should never present the five-point list as a timeless property of every future version.
Prieston route: overlap, order, and the relationship chain
The Prieston branch is the most order-sensitive route in the independent Day 2 study. Its example begins by attempting the King room, then visiting Wizzy before Knighter. In Wizzy's room, inspect the corner repeatedly, ask about Wizzy's relationships with the other puppets, and pursue the King puppet question. In Knighter's room, inspect the desk repeatedly, ask about his relationships, and ask about the King. Tell Jestyn to leave you alone and, at the Butley encounter, ask about Butley's relationships with the other puppets. The study reports at least three Prieston route points and notes extra dialogue when the room order and questions line up.
It is tempting to summarize this as 'click every King clue'. That loses the specific feature which separates Prieston from the broader Truth investigation: relationship questions across multiple puppets and a room order that yields additional dialogue. The player-tested guide explicitly identifies Wizzy before Knighter as important for the reported Prieston route. If you visited Knighter first and reached the Truth scene instead, reload the room-choice save and change the order before changing every unrelated store or maid answer. Then verify the relationship topics in Wizzy, Knighter, and Butley conversations.
The study says a subtle stage dialogue difference appears in the Butley sequence and that the player character may not get a chance to summon Jestyn when the Prieston conditions are met. That is a reported recognition cue, not a substitute for the full checklist. The guide does not establish that merely seeing Prieston once sets a permanent save flag, nor that the Act 1 affection score feeds this route. Use a separate save and record the order and questions. If the expected cue is absent, troubleshoot the earliest missed investigation or relationship prompt rather than treating the ending name as a button you can select directly.
How the King-door clue changes between the two days
In Act 1, the King puppet's door is part of the creator-confirmed Crownus name secret: inspect the writing, then type crownus when Jestyn asks your name. In the Day 2 player-tested guide, repeated attempts to enter the King room are one of the investigation triggers. The visual object is related, but the instructions serve different branches at different times. Typing the name in Act 1 locks a secret ending, whereas repeated Day 2 investigation contributes to the route study's reported secret-point tally. Do not transfer the Act 1 name procedure wholesale into a Day 2 room-choice checklist.
The corridor image from this site's existing Day 1 gallery is useful as a geographic reminder: the puppet rooms are named, and the King room is a distinct door. It is not a Day 2 screenshot and cannot verify the later hotspot count. The count comes from the independent guide. When testing your own build, follow the interface: choose the King-room attempt again while it remains available, then note when the option disappears. If you only observed the door visually, you have not necessarily triggered the reported point.
The contrast also explains why a fan guide needs version labels. An old page about 'Crownus secret ending' can be correct for the first day but unhelpful for someone trying to break Day 2's loop. The new chapter introduces different investigation questions and a relationship chain. A player should choose a goal first: an Act 1 secret name, a regular good ending leading onward, a Day 2 Truth exit, or the reported Prieston branch. Once the goal is named, the relevant source and checklist become much easier to apply.
Character encounters without overstating romance routes
The creator's game page still lists one love interest among its current features and names Jestyn as the mischievous jester interested in the guard. The Day 2 route study, however, includes visits to Wizzy and Knighter and a path named for Prieston. Meeting a puppet, receiving voiced dialogue, or uncovering a branch associated with that puppet does not by itself establish a second officially advertised love interest. Use 'encounter', 'investigation branch', or the independent guide's 'Prieston route' to describe these paths without promising completed romance content that the creator has not listed.
Jestyn remains an important presence through the Day 2 examples: there is a silencing choice, room visits around him, and a choice about whether he follows. The player-tested guide treats the silencing moment as flexible in its route recipes but treats asking him to leave as part of the Truth and Prieston checklists. That distinction is practical. If you are chasing a reported secret branch, focus on the follow decision and the room clues; if you are exploring character voice or tone, replay the earlier conversational variation on a separate save. A route guide can say which choice is named in the recipe without claiming all other dialogue has no effect anywhere.
The maid sisters, Wizzy, Knighter, Butley, Crownus, and Prieston appear in player discussion and route research, but their motives and historical roles are spoiler-sensitive and sometimes debated. This page confines the walkthrough to observable route actions and source-labelled mechanics. It avoids turning a player's theory about a former ruler or a puppet's allegiance into confirmed lore. If you want to compare interpretations, first complete both the Truth and Prieston exits, then separate what a character states from what another character believes.
A two-save comparison that keeps the branches legible
Make a save after the Day 1 good continuation or near the Day 2 room-choice sequence, depending on what the current build allows. On the first branch, play the standard day and let it repeat. Record the changed opening line and the rooms you visited. On the second branch, use the five-item Truth ledger: repeated King-door attempt, Wizzy corner, Wizzy's King question, Knighter desk, Knighter's King question; then ask Jestyn to leave and continue through Butley. This compares a normal loop with a deliberate investigation without requiring you to guess which casual dialogue option mattered.
For the Prieston comparison, load the room-choice save again and commit to the order Wizzy, then Knighter. Exhaust the named hotspots and ask about relationships as well as the King. Make the same leave-alone choice with Jestyn; at Butley, ask about his relationship with others. If the dialogue diverges, your notes can point to the added relationship chain and room order. If it does not, revisit the specific missing question or exhausted hotspot. The independent route study warns that the Butley stage dialogue can change subtly, so reading the scene is part of the verification.
These comparison saves are a guide-writing method, not a claim that the game exposes a route-debug menu. A visual novel often allows ordinary save and load management, but the cited sources do not define a universal save-file location or promise migration between packages. Keep your own manual notes in plain terms: build, language, Day 1 outcome, loop number, room order, hotspot count, relationship questions, King questions, follow decision, and final scene. This is enough to diagnose a route without inventing a hidden system.
Language and platform constraints for a route reader
Thepipi's October announcement states that Simplified Chinese is available for Act 1 and that Act 2 translations are planned for later. A player who needs the translated text may be able to play the first day in Chinese but still find Day 2 in another language. That is a stated release scope, not a missing toggle that a fan walkthrough can repair. The creator's file listing also includes older Brazilian Portuguese and Russian packages; their file names and sizes do not demonstrate that they include the new act. Check the current announcement for each language before assuming parity with the PC and Mac update.
The general itch.io listing names Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android as project platforms. The more specific Act 2 announcement limits the creator's downloadable new act to PC and Mac. If a search snippet says the game supports Linux, that may describe an earlier build. The safe current statement is that Act 2 Linux availability is not confirmed by the release post. This fan site's separate browser player currently loads game version 2.0 with Act 2. Browser packaging and desktop files are different distributions, so check the creator's PC or Mac release when you specifically need an official desktop package.
The file list can change after any article update, so treat sizes and package names as a time-stamped check rather than a permanent instruction. The routes below refer to the release available when this article was reviewed on 14 October 2026. If a future patch changes a hotspot or adds an Android build, the current download page and the creator's newer notes should take priority for availability. The Act 1 score chart and the independent Day 2 route study should then be retested before their specific numbers are reused.
Troubleshooting by symptom, not by rumor
I never reach Day 2: check whether you are using the current PC or Mac archive and whether the Act 1 run took the regular good continuation described by the player-tested guide. If you are on Android, the creator said the Act 2 update had not shipped there in the October announcement. If you entered the Act 1 Crownus name, you took a separate locked secret branch. These three checks address build, platform, and story handoff without assuming that the loop itself is broken.
Day 2 starts over: if the repeat follows a complete Day 2 sequence, compare it with the independent guide's looping route. Watch for changed Crownus dialogue and inspect the King door, Wizzy corner, and Knighter desk more persistently. Repeating the same optional conversations without earning the reported investigative points can naturally return you to the same branch. A full reinstall is a different kind of intervention and does not substitute for testing the choices within the current story.
I found Butley but not Prieston: the independent Prieston recipe asks more than meeting Butley. Visit Wizzy before Knighter, inspect each named hotspot until it is exhausted, ask Wizzy and Knighter about their relationships and the King, tell Jestyn not to follow, and ask Butley about his relationships. A reader report on the creator's page also highlights the Butley questions, but the structured checklist here comes from the player-tested route study. If one item was skipped, reload before the room sequence and change that item first.
I reached a credit scene but cannot tell which exit I saw: compare the dialogue leading to Butley and whether the player character has a chance to summon Jestyn. The independent study presents this as a cue for its Prieston branch. Keep in mind that 'Truth' and 'Prieston' are the fan study's route labels. A screenshot of an ending card, a manual save before the final encounter, or a written account of which relationship prompts appeared will be more useful for later verification than calling both exits 'the secret ending'.
What this guide deliberately leaves open
The creator's public Act 2 announcement is a release and localization note, not a complete ending chart. It does not specify the number of Act 2 endings, an official Truth-route name, an exact Prieston threshold, save migration behavior, or a date for Android or the new translations. The independent study supplies tested route information, but a third-party reconstruction can change as new builds arrive. This page therefore attributes the point lists and route labels every time they become consequential. A later creator chart, if one appears, should replace the reconstructed numbers where they conflict.
The story includes adult themes and the official game page lists manipulation, toxic relationship dynamics, jump scares, obsessive behavior, light BDSM, suggestive content, and player death. Route instructions here focus on decision logic and do not reproduce the game's script or present the darker scenes as harmless jokes. A reader looking only for platform support can stop before the spoiler route map. A reader seeking every variation should play the release itself, since a guide can map branch requirements without substituting for the original dialogue, art, music, and performances.
The source distinction also protects readers from an easy chronological mistake. The February Act 1 ending guide predates the October Act 2 update. The October announcement says the new act is available, but does not retroactively extend the February point table. The 10 October independent guide was written after the update and specifically examines Day 2. Each source answers a different question. Use the February post for Day 1 affection, the October post for release status, and the post-release study for the newly mapped Day 2 branches.
